Slender Man - Halloween Series

New artwork of internet terror, the Slender Man, to kick off my 2nd series of horror-themed illustrations celebrating Halloween (2021).

October has returned, and so has my series of Halloween-themed speed paintings. I think I will try to make this an annual thing, as Halloween is my favorite holiday.

We kick off the 2021 spooky series with Slender Man, the creepypasta meme turned pop culture icon.

The Slender Man, often known as Slenderman, is an imaginary supernatural figure that first appeared online in 2009 as a creepypasta meme made by Something Awful forum user Eric Knudsen. He is shown as a tall, slender, featureless humanoid wearing a black suit, with a white head and face.

The Slender Man frequently stalks, kidnaps, or traumatizes people in stories, especially children. The Slender Man has become a pop culture figure, although he is not limited to a single story and instead appears in a variety of other fiction works, most of which are written online. The Slender Man has appeared in a variety of works of fiction, including books, paintings, and video series like Marble Hornets (2009–2014), where he appears as The Operator.

The Enderman in Minecraft was inspired by the figure, who has made appearances in the computer games Slender: The Eight Pages (2012) and Slender: The Arrival (2013). Additionally, he was portrayed by Doug Jones in the 2015 movie adaption of Marble Hornets and by Javier Botet in the 2018 movie of the same name.

New Illustration by Chris Trefz of Godzilla Battling a Giant Octopus in a Tribute to Classic Kaiju Films Introduction In my latest artwork, I had the opportunity to delve into the world of kaiju and unleash the mighty Godzilla in an epic battle against a formidable opponent. Drawing inspiration from the 1998 American movie, I captured the iconic monster in the midst of a gripping struggle with a gigantic octopus. This illustration combines the modern design of Godzilla with the charm and spirit of classic Japanese films, bringing to life an exciting clash of titans in the depths of the ocean. The Artwork Description In this pencil drawing, which I later scanned and digitally colored, Godzilla takes center stage as he grapples with a colossal octopus lurking beneath the ocean's surface. The majority of the octopus remains hidden, allowing only its tentacles to emerge, entangling around Godzilla's powerful arms. The tension is palpable as Godzilla twists and strains, roaring in ...
